DTF Artwork Requirements

Submitting correctly prepared artwork helps us produce the best possible DTF transfer quality and prevents avoidable order delays. Please review these requirements before uploading your design.

Preferred File Format

Upload your artwork as a high-resolution PNG file with a transparent background. PNG files preserve transparency and are ideal for DTF printing.

Your file should be:

  • Saved in PNG format

  • Created at 300 DPI

  • Uploaded at the exact size you want printed

  • Saved in RGB or sRGB color mode

  • Clean, sharp, and free from pixelation

  • Submitted without unwanted background areas

Other file formats should only be used when specifically accepted on the product page.

Artwork Size and Resolution

The dimensions submitted are the dimensions that will be printed. For example, a 10-inch-wide design should be created at 10 inches wide and 300 DPI. Enlarging a small, low-resolution image will not improve its quality and may result in blurry or pixelated printing.

Please do not submit screenshots, website thumbnails, or images downloaded from social media.

Transparent Background

Remove the background unless you intentionally want it printed. A white background in the file may print as part of the transfer.

Avoid excessive semi-transparent effects, faded edges, soft shadows, and low-opacity details. These elements may react unpredictably with the white ink layer used in DTF printing.

Gang Sheet Requirements

When uploading a premade DTF gang sheet, the canvas must match the selected sheet size. Arrange all designs before uploading and leave approximately 0.25 inches of space between each design for easier cutting.

Please make sure:

  • Designs do not overlap

  • Nothing extends beyond the canvas

  • All designs are correctly sized

  • Unwanted backgrounds are removed

  • Small text is readable

  • The gang sheet is completely ready to print

Do not mirror your artwork unless the product instructions specifically tell you to do so.

Color Information

Printed colors may appear slightly different from colors shown on a phone, tablet, or computer screen. Screen brightness, display settings, fabric color, and artwork quality can all affect the final appearance. Exact color matching is not guaranteed unless a specific color-matching service is offered.

Artwork Responsibility

Artwork is generally printed as uploaded. Customers are responsible for confirming the file quality, dimensions, spelling, colors, orientation, and background before completing the order.

You must have permission to reproduce all submitted logos, photographs, characters, trademarks, and copyrighted designs.

Final Upload Checklist

Before placing your order, confirm that your artwork is:

  • High-resolution and print-ready

  • Correctly sized

  • Saved as a transparent PNG

  • Free from spelling errors

  • Free from unwanted backgrounds

  • Legally authorized for reproduction
